The China International Camping Expo 2024, held in Hangzhou, marked a significant moment for Asia’s growing tent and camping equipment sector. This year’s event attracted over 500 exhibitors from China, Japan, Korea, and Southeast Asia, with a focus on eco-friendly glamping tents and smart camping technologies.

Leading Chinese manufacturer KingCamp introduced its new line of SUV-attached rooftop tents, which feature solar panels integrated into the canopy and built-in power banks for lighting and device charging. Naturehike impressed visitors with its ultralight trekking tents using aerospace-grade aluminum poles and breathable, anti-condensation fabric walls.

Japanese brand DOD presented innovative family tents with a patented 'kangaroo window' design that improves airflow while keeping bugs out. Meanwhile, South Korea’s KZM Camp brought expandable dome tents with built-in LED strips and smartphone-controlled climate vents.

This year’s expo also emphasized experiential displays. A mock glamping village let attendees explore different interior layouts and tent accessories such as portable kitchens, solar lanterns, and folding bathtubs. Educational forums focused on sustainable materials like biodegradable stakes, bamboo flooring, and AI-integrated inventory systems for campgrounds.

The 2024 China International Camping Expo highlighted how Asia’s tent market is blending technology, comfort, and environmental design—setting trends that are sure to influence global tent development.
